Gigi Zarzuela is a Washington-based bird guide who has been birding for nearly a decade and leading trips since 2021. She completed Denver Audubon’s Master Birder program in 2022, where she received advanced training in bird identification, ecology, and field ornithology. Her guiding experience spans community field trips, beginner birding instruction, youth programs, private outings, and multi-day birding tours.
After spending 15 years in Colorado, Gigi moved to Seattle in 2025 and has immersed herself in birding throughout western Washington. She enjoys exploring the region’s avian diversity and appreciates that every outing offers something new to discover and share with others.
Drawing on more than 15 years of experience in K–12 education and leadership, Gigi brings a strong background in teaching and facilitation to her guiding. She enjoys creating engaging learning experiences and providing opportunities for connection.
